Apple opened preorders for the iPhone 18 Pro on Friday following its autumn keynote in Cupertino. The handset starts at $1,099 for the 256GB model, holding the price steady while dropping the 128GB baseline entirely. It hits retail shelves on 18 September.
Hardware changes and screen updates
The screen stretches to 6.3 inches with borders shaved down to 1.1mm. Peak outdoor brightness hits 3,000 nits, up from 2,000 nits on last year's model. Under the glass sits the A20 Pro chip, built on TSMC's 2nm process. Apple paired it with 12GB of unified memory to keep complex local models running without draining the cell.
The battery capacity gains a modest bump:

A physical aperture for the main lens
