OnePlus announced its winter launch event for 14 November, where it will show off the OnePlus 14. Preorders start the same evening, with global retail availability scheduled for 24 November. The starting price lands at $799 in North America and 849 pounds in the UK for the 256GB storage tier.
Ditching curved glass entirely
Curved edges are gone. The OnePlus 14 switches to a completely flat 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel that drops down to 1Hz when reading static text. It reaches 4,500 nits peak brightness under direct sunlight and uses an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner mounted under the panel instead of the cheaper optical sensor found on earlier units.
Hardware specifications stand out in several areas:
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
- 120W SuperVOOC wired charging that delivers a full charge in under 25 minutes.
- 50W magnetic wireless charging compatible with third-party accessories.
- Total weight comes in at 214 grams despite the glass back.
Hasselblad color profile adjustments
The rear camera module houses a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary sensor, a 50MP periscope zoom lens with 3x optical magnification, and a 48MP ultra-wide sensor. OnePlus tuned the software with Hasselblad to reduce skin tone smoothing in high-contrast outdoor lighting.
It provides dependable raw power and fast charging at a price that undercuts Apple and Samsung by hundreds of dollars.
